The Jacobson House was built in 1977 from concrete and glass. A prototypical example of desert brutalism, the critical regionalist project responded to the climatic conditions of the Sonoran desert to create a serene and evocative intersection of desert and light.

Constructed in the old Santa Catalina Foothills Estates the home was commissioned Joan and Arthur Jacobson. The house blurs the division between inside and out , using glass window walls that capture 360 surrounding views of the Santa Catalina Mountain range and the Tucson Valley.  The three bedroom, three bathroom home features a vaulted living room, kitchen, view room, dining room, library, reading loft, and fireplaces. as well as a series of private courtyards, patio, and rooftop deck. For more than 35 years local wildlife has taken refuge at the Jacobson House watering hole easily viewed from the living room.

The Jacobson House is an alluring Tucson retreat offering history, design, luxury, and privacy with connivence of central location. Close to dining, shopping, hiking, and other outdoor recreations and only fifteen-minute drive from Downtown Tucson and five miles north of the University of Arizona,
